Many of the songs on Lapin Lapin  have French names for animals in the lyrics.  

Listen to several songs on Lapin Lapin  and use the lyrics to find the names of some animals.  Think about what the animals represent in each song.  Many times, they have human characteristics and personalities.  

Then try the Magnolia Sisters Jeu des animaux word search game.  Don’t look at the answers until you are finished.  Younger children may wish to work in pairs.  

Many traditional tall tales are about animals.  You probably know one you can tell.  Share an animal story with someone or write it down and illustrate it. For ideas on animal tales, look for the book and film Swapping Stories: Folktales from Louisiana.
