This first CD features the Sisters in an early configuration.  The music here recalls the sound of home music with three acoustic instruments and sparse, haunting vocals. Group founders Ann Savoy and Jane Vidrine are joined on this CD by Deborah Helen Viator, Tina Pilione, and Lisa MacCauley. Many of the tunes were inspired by the 78rpm records of Cajun pioneers Cleoma Falcon or Dennis McGee.  Several signature ballads are included on this Arhoolie Records album.
